How to Completely Disable Automatic Windows Update (Windows 7)
If your computer takes much time while starting due to regularly downloaded windows updates, then, this guide will show you how to stop those updates. When automatic updates are turned on, the computer downloads updates automatically when its connected to the internet. When you restart the computer, the downloaded updates starts installing. This sometimes slows the booting process. So you need to make sure automatic windows updates are turned off.
DISABLE OR STOP AUTOMATIC UPDATES IN SERVICES.
Click start menu button. (Or press windows logo button on your keyboard. This is a shortcut to access start menu)

Open the Control Panel.
Choose System and Security.

Choose Administrative Tools.

Open the Services icon.

Locate “Windows Update”.

Click the Name column heading at the top, to ensure that the services are sorted alphabetically. (Sort by order descending to make windows update appear at the top.)
Double-click “Windows Update” to open its Properties dialog box.
Choose Disabled as the Startup type.
By choosing Disabled Option, you prevent “Windows Update” process from starting when the computer starts.
Also click stop button

Click Apply.
Click OK to confirm your settings and close the dialog box.

After disabling a service, restart Windows.
When the system restarts, try it out for a while to ensure that its working well.
If there is a problem revert the settings.
Start>Run>Services.msc>"Windows Updates > Double-Click and click dropdown box, select "Disabled" then click "Stop" Then click Ok.
TURN OFF WINDOWS UPDATE IN WINDOWS SETTINGS.
Click start menu button.

Choose Control Panel.
click “System and Security”.

Select “Windows Update” option under System and Security Windows

Select “Change Settings” on the left pane.

On dropdown menu select “Never check for updates(Not Recommended)” Option.

Save your changes by clicking “OK” button.

REMOVING DOWNLOADED, BUT NOT INSTALLED WINDOWS UPDATES.
If you want to remove downloaded but not installed windows updates:
Click Start Menu.
Search “%windir%\SoftwareDistribution”.

When SoftwareDistribution folder appears select it and click OK (Enter).

Open the Download folder and select all the files ,then right click and choose delete from the menu.
Start > Search > (type) %windir%\SoftwareDistribution > OK(Enter) > "download" folder > delete all the content inside.
